This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. Partial work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized.
Duties
At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Gather and analyze scientific/technical data and information to assist in the development of EPA policy on transportation fuel and energy control strategies;
- Implement and evaluate projects and programs related to fuel and energy production, distribution, and use in vehicles and engines;
- Evaluate the technical and economic viability of renewable and alternative fuel and energy and their impact on the environment and marketplace;
- Provide recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods related to transportation fuel and energy.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
