Our Advancement team is a vital part of our mission to serve our neighbors in need by providing effective communication and relationship building with the community and our donors.
This internship will work hand in hand with our entire Mission Advancement team, collaborating with them in a mission-driven agency to interact with our major-stakeholders including staff, volunteers, and donors. Students will learn best practices in non-profit development, utilizing philanthropic philosophy in communications, work with a robust donor database system (Blackbaud), and gain experience in project management.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a non-profit organization and have a direct and meaningful impact on supporting an agency’s mission within our local community.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree area related to fundraising, business, communications, or related field, with an interest in nonprofit management.
- Detail oriented team player with an understanding of workflow processes, strong writing, and communication skills.
Commitment:
8 to 12 hours per week commitment for at least one semester
Available Internship hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
