Our Hoarding Intervention and Treatment Program recognizes the unmet need of assistance for those facing Hoarding Disorder in the Milwaukee and Waukesha communities. By developing and following individualized care plans, our staff (Therapist, Case Manager, and Homemaker) are able to collaboratively help individuals meet their goals and improve their daily lives.
As a Hoarding Counseling Therapy Intern, you will have a unique and rewarding opportunity to assist those who struggle with Hoarding Disorder. By providing in-home counseling, you will help to reduce stress, work on internal well-being, and help the client improve behavioral habits. Your counseling will help clients work through underlying issues that coincide with the barriers that individuals face, such as: anxiety, depression, OCD, and other diagnoses.
Interns will also assist with and lead monthly support groups, supporting family members and loved ones of those struggling with Hoarding Disorder.

Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates are pursuing a master’s degree in social work, counseling or a related field.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Comfortable driving throughout Milwaukee County, including neighborhoods like: West Allis, Greenfield, South Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and Glendale.
Commitment:
- 10 to 20 hours per week
- At least two consecutive school semesters or one year
Available Internship hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
