AmeriCorps Youth Instructor - Idaho Botanical Gardens
Serve through the Idaho 4-H AmeriCorps Positive Youth Development program at the Idaho Botanical Garden as an AmeriCorps Youth Development Instructor. Deliver hands-on S.T.E.A.M. education to Idaho youth. Serve as a positive role model while gaining networking and professional development experience.
Member Duties:
- Teach, lead, and facilitate youth development curriculum in STEAM-based out-of-school time programs.
- Facilitate family engagement events.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, teaching important life skills, and giving youth positive opportunities to explore the world around them in a fun, engaging, non-formal learning environment.
- Engage new volunteers in local programs to serve as 4-H leaders and event volunteers.
- Submit regular progress reports and evaluate programs.
- Participate in community service-learning projects.
- Provide support and development of community partnerships.
