Specialist, Green Section Multimedia

Team/Role Overview
The primary goal of the USGA Green Section education team is increasing the knowledge of best practices in golf course maintenance and sustainability among course maintenance professionals, golf course decision-makers, and golfers. We use a variety of multimedia tools to achieve this goal and work hard to ensure that our written, video, and graphic content is presented in an engaging and high-quality way. 

This position is responsible for the technical aspects of creating and delivering our education content across various platforms. A successful candidate will be extremely familiar with current multimedia technology and web-based publishing and also eager to learn and utilize new technologies for communication as they develop. The person in this role will also play a key role in planning our multimedia content and coming up with creative ways to convey information. 

What you’ll do  
  • Create and manage web pages for each issue of the USGA Green Section Record (published twice monthly) and the USGA Green Section’s Course Care homepage.
  • Film, edit, and publish Course Care educational videos through the Green Section Record and on our YouTube Channel.
  • Create infographics and data tables for digital and printed media.
  • Record and edit the Green Section Podcast

Where you’ll be
This role is based at our Pinehurst, NC headquarters.

What you bring

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field related to digital content creation.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in web content authoring, preferably in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience creating, editing and publishing digital content in sports or education.
  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn new programs.
  • Intermediate to advanced competency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere.
  • Strong familiarity with camera and audio equipment used for digital content creation.
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Able to work independently. 
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time and maintain project timelines.
  • Well organized and able to manage digital assets and multimedia equipment.
  • Knowledge of golf and golf course maintenance preferred.
