Parabolic informs hiring managers of active candidates who are recruiting and directly applies for applications on behalf of active job seekers. Furthermore, Parabolic connects verified professionals to each other in order to give every job seeker access to the robust network required to find employment. For candidates, Parabolic submits job applications, pairs candidates with industry professionals, and provides interview prep software to automate the entire job search process. Parabolic candidate clients include professionals ranging from entry-level to C-suite level and college students pursuing careers in finance, technology, or consulting. For employers, Parabolic accelerates talent acquisition through its resume database, job marketing automation, and application tracking system. Parabolic’s employer clients include alternative investment firms in private equity, private credit, and venture capital. Parabolic has placed candidates ranging from entry-level to C-suite level.

The problem Parabolic solves is an oversaturation of candidate application in the recruiting marketplace.  Open roles posted on the internet can attract as many as hundreds of thousands of qualified applicants, often leading to hiring inefficiencies. Over 90% of applications to competitive roles never receive a first round interview and it makes it difficult for the highly-skilled labor market to find work quickly. Over 80% of job offers obtained have come from referrals and this creates a discrepancy for job seekers who do not have access to a robust professional network. Women, minorities, low-income professionals, and immigrants have less access to high paying roles, and the equal opportunity gap continues to widen.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Business Operations Manager to lead and optimize our operational processes. As a Business Operations Manager at Parabolic Career, you will play a critical role in streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and ensuring seamless coordination across various departments. Your insights and leadership will contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze business operations data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive process optimization.
  • Lead the development and execution of projects focused on enhancing operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the success of operational initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for operational challenges.
  • Work closely with finance, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth inventory management and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to develop and implement employee training programs related to operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all operational activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between different departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Report regularly to senior management on operational performance, opportunities, and challenges.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in business operations management or a related leadership role.
  • Proven track record of streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency, and achieving business goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other operational software.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to success.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to align operational efforts with overall company objectives.
