Report & Data Intern
The Report & Data Intern will mainly focus on data collection, organization, and the development of new reporting structures.
By collecting, managing, and presenting data, this project aims to provide insights that support evidence-based decision-making, performance improvement, and strategic planning.
Goals and Objectives:
- Data collection and integrity: Gather data from sources accurately and ensure integrity and quality through validation and verification.
- Report maintenance and updates: Regularly update and maintain existing reports with the latest data.
- Research & development: Based on the new report request brief, help develop a reporting structure by utilizing formulas and calculations in Google Sheets. Conduct research on report dashboards, calculations and automations.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team to understand the reporting needs and availability of sources.
Task and Duties:
- Adhere to the established schedule to access our platforms, procure updated data, and perform updates to existing reports. Thoroughly review for accuracy and rectify any discrepancies post-update.
- Help optimize our current reports to work better and more efficiently by using more effective formulas and automation.
- Given the report needs and scope provided, dive into some research on reporting dashboards. Then, give us your take on how the layout should come together – we're all ears!
- Design and present visual layouts for reports under development, effectively communicating conceptualizations. Collaborate closely with the Operations team to align with available data sources, report requirements and scope.
- Maintain an up-to-date record on ClickUp to communicate ongoing progress (or challenges) of report development and maintenance.
- Methodically document the entire process of developing new reports, transforming it into a comprehensive guideline to follow upon report launch. This document should include a report overview, a list of data sources, and a step-by-step protocol for executing report updates.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge in using tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to collect, organize and calculate data.
- Familiarity with creating visualizations to effectively present data insights, using charts, graphs, and other visual elements.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data handling, and a knack for uncovering insights hidden within datasets.
- Clear and effective communication skills to convey report requirements in a concise and understandable manner.
- Ability to approach challenges creatively, identify potential solutions, and adapt to changing requirements.
