Under general supervision, the Biomedical Equipment Technician installs, test, repairs, maintains, and calibrates clinical medical devices. Follows established policies and procedures and according to manufacturer guidelines and recommendations. The Biomedical Equipment Technician ensures adherence to hospital and departmental policies and regulatory standards and guidelines. Demonstrates commitment to the quality, philosophy, and values of Baptist Health by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, process improvement, and safety standards. Demonstrates the Baptist Health standards in all interpersonal relations.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering preferred
Eight years of biomedical (including Military Biomedical) experience required
Advanced Engineering Degree can be substituted for 5 years work experience
