Nutrition Services Coordinator
Position Purpose:
The Nutrition Services Coordinator serves as the main resource for developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating nutrition programming for the food bank and its network partners. All responsibilities shall be consistent with Gleaners Food Bank's mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger.

Essential Functions:
· Assess, implement, manage and evaluate healthy pantry initiatives in collaboration with county/township strategies, including but not limited to, SWAP trainings, nutrition nudges, and tracking nutrition ranking progress to increase percentage of green and yellow ranked foods throughout the network.
· Deliver education presentations to community organizations, medical professionals, and educational institutions about food insecurity, the impact of food insecurity on health, and the role they can play in addressing the issue.
· Serve on the Nutrition Policy Committee. Assist with nutrition ranking support, menu review and procurement of health-promoting and culturally familiar foods as needed.
· Serve as a resource to Operations, Food Strategy, and other colleagues to ensure Gleaners’ program menus support the procurement and distribution of health-promoting, culturally familiar foods.
· Serve as the main contact/nutrition resource for network partners (including Gleaners direct service programs).
· Serve on Gleaners’ Employee Wellness Committee.
· Prepare and provide reports and presentations on status, progress and outcomes of evaluation activities to supervisor, senior leadership, committees, partners and board members as requested.
· Partner with Advancement team on grant proposals and reports as needed.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities an individual needs in order to perform this job successfully.
Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in public health, nutrition, public affairs, health education, related field.
· Two years of experience in program planning and development preferred.
· Registered Dietitian preferred.
· Food Safety and Handling Certified, or ability to be certified.

• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Initiative/self-starter/ability to work without close supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint and Google documents.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Valid driver's license/Clean driving record /Must be insurable by company vehicle insurance provider.
