About the Role
As our public relations overseer at Rubix, your primary focus will be securing earned media related to marketing industry commentary, product/brand launches, and business success on behalf of our clients. This will involve securing podcast interviews and guest posts/commentary in top industry publications such as Forbes, AdAge, and Marketing Brew. Additionally, you will manage our organic social media accounts on LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as those of our executive team, with a particular focus on our CEO. Join our team and help us elevate our brand and client success through strategic public relations efforts. 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Write and secure earned media around marketing/performance marketing commentary
  • Develop close relationships with key covering reporters across tier-one and industry outlets
  • Manage the organic social accounts for Rubix and our CEO
  • Develop a corporate communications content strategy (White papers, case studies, viral content) in partnership with the Rubix subject matter experts
  • Prep senior leadership for media and speaking opportunities
  • Monitor social and news media for important mentions, swiftly escalating, packaging, and distributing internally as necessary

Qualifications
  • Junior or senior at an accredited college, working towards a Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of public relations and corporate communications space, with ideally, a grasp of performance marketing and digital media 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Twitter, LinkedIn and a grasp of podcasts 
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills, including working with cross-functional teams, proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability
  • Strong decision-making, analytical evaluation, risk management, and effective problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables

Preferred Qualifications 
  • 1+ year of internship experience in the Marketing industry 
  • Basic knowledge of marketing for E-commerce and start-up businesses 
  • Likes to listen to podcasts, keep track of updated newsletters, and has a strong interest in marketing
