Digital Media Strategy & Activation Intern, Spring 2024

A day in the life . . .

In your role, you'll be joining forces with iconic Walt Disney brands to learn strategies, assist with campaign execution, and perform optimizations that ensure our guest’s experience. You will test core components and perform statistical analysis of digital marketing campaigns with the intent of uncovering stories within the data.   • Learn how to launch paid media campaigns on each channel managed by the team and assist with launching and/or QA’ing campaigns.
  • Conduct keyword research to provide strategic insights.
  • Conduct analysis and provide optimization recommendations around UX, page speed, SEO, content and more.
  • Learn how organic and paid social media strategies are implemented and tracked across multiple lines of business.
  • Assist the organic social media team by bringing the brand to life - engage and connect with a diverse community of guests through curating content, managing posts, and growing our audiences for various social media platforms.
  • Participate in testing core campaign components and perform statistical analysis of online marketing campaigns with the intent of uncovering stories within the data.
  • Determine areas of opportunity within the team and champion a long-term project to create a new tool, procedure, resource, etc. to aid team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in team meetings, training and brainstorming sessions.
  • Earn certifications across top industry platforms.

What we are looking for…
Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience/education in marketing, digital media, social media, analytical or technological fields.
  • Comfortable working with team members at all levels.
  • Data and statistical analysis coursework or experience, with the ability to extract interesting items to help tell a story.
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAS, Air Table and/or Tableau.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript.

Required Education:

  • To be eligible for this internship you must be a senior or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Content, Communications, Digital Media, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics or other relevant area.

Additional Information:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. 
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
  • Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
  • Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 – June 2024.
