Communications Intern
Interns in this position may work either full or part-time, and work schedules are flexible around the student's academic schedule. Student interns accrue vacation and sick-leave and are eligible for health, life, dental, and vision insurance. Upon successful completion of the internship program, you may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a full-time permanent position.
As a Communications Intern with the OIG, you will:
- Work with the Office of Communications staff to brainstorm, pitch, strategize, and create a variety of communications products including emails, newsletters, photos, videos, interactive web content, and other digital media.
- Works with the Office of Communications staff to plan and execute events such as a speaker series, town halls, awards ceremonies, and conferences.
- Photograph people, events, and landscapes in a variety of styles, including artistic and documentary.
- Video and audio record live events, interviews, and b-roll in a variety of styles, including artistic and documentary.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite and other software (e.g., ARCGIS Online, Power BI) to produce compelling and high-quality digital media materials for public consumption.
- Support the Office of Communications by assisting with various other assignment.
