Speech Language Pathologist (K-12)
Gwinnett County Public Schools are giving Speech Language Pathologists a $6,000 hiring incentives!!
We believe Speech-Language Pathologists are critical to ensuring our students are tuned-in and comfortable in our highly-collaborative environment. We’re looking for SLPs who hold a Master’s degree, are Georgia-certified or eligible for certification, and are willing to work within the full or part time range of communication and swallowing disorders.
Required License and Certification Qualifications: Georgia Speech-Language Pathology license and/or teaching certificate and a valid Georgia driver's license.
Required Education Qualifications: Master's degree in speech language pathology.
Experience Qualifications: Professional work experience in speech/language preferred.
Primary Responsibilities: Screen, evaluate, and provide speech-language therapy for students with identified speech-language impairments.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Employees are also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach. Employees are occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. To earn the full incentive for the designated position, you must:
- Be a new full-time Speech Language Pathologists hired to GCPS for the 2023-24 school year; OR
- Be a full-time Speech Language Pathologists hired for the 2023-24 school year
- A Speech Language Pathologist would not be eligible to receive the incentive if they are a former employee who has worked in the district as a Speech Language Pathologists or teacher within the last three school years. (2020-21,2021-22, 2022-23)
- Complete the 2023-24 school year AND
- Sign a contract for the 2024-25 school year
- Incentive amounts will be determined based on the employee's start date.
