AmeriCorps Outdoor Science Leader
The Moscow Adventure Club, Outdoor Science Leader will develop and/or gather nature-based lessons and activities targeting K-5th graders. The lessons provided will be a combination of science exploration, arts and crafts, and games focused on the natural environment.
Member Activities:
- Plan and lead nature-based activities
- Supervise students in recreation and science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) activities
- Plan and lead outdoor science field trips
- Activity cleanup and site maintenance (cleaning, sweeping, mopping)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of biology, geology, and/or natural resources
- Experience working with kindergarten through fifth-grade children
AmeriCorps Member Benefits:
- Living allowance of $10,200 for 900 hours/11-month term
