Website Assistant

The Website Assistant will assist the Sales Data Optimization Specialist in optimizing SuperFeast’s three websites.

This is a remote position. There will be meetings during regular business hours in the eastern standard timezone with the Sales Data Optimization Specialist and potential for evening meetings with the team in Australia. These meetings are typically after 6pm EST.

This position is 5-10 hours a week.

Duties/Responsibilities (This is our current task list for the Website Assistant role. It is subject to change and will be added to as things arise and tasks get checked off) :
  • Updating photos on website
  • Optimizing blog posts (making the blog look visually good if the design is off,
  • updating photos, updating links, updating tags)
  • Uploading new blog posts
  • Copy and pasting things from a document into product pages but following a specific set of web commands to do it so the formatting is right
  • Updating connection between product pages and recipes
  • Miscellaneous website tasks
  • Uploading new blog posts
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic website design/e-commerce software knowledge and familiarity (We prefer Shopify experience but comparable software experience is okay.).
  • Basic eye for design (knowing when something looks good or bad) and having the ability to action when it looks bad and following protocol when needed to get it to look good.
  • Knowing when to troubleshoot an issue by themselves and when to ask for guidance based on provided protocol.
  • Knows when to ask for help.
  • Self-taught learner and can learn a system or skill based on provided documentation and videos.
  • Use good time management skills to meet deadlines, take initiative to plan and complete assigned work with a high level of accuracy while prioritizing asks and letting supervisor know when tasks exceed capability or bandwidth.
  • Detail-oriented and good attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least sophomore status at an accredited college or university and currently
  • pursuing a degree preferably in Computer Science, Visual Design, or
  • Marketing.
  • At least 6 months of website/e-commerce software experience. At minimum, the desired candidate has explored Shopify or an equivalent software and can demonstrate basic familiarity with the software, and have the ability and motivation to research Help documentation when necessary.
