As an intern at Heirified, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment led by experienced industry professionals.
- Collaborate on the development of the first global platform for digital and traditional wealth transfer.
- Learn from our diverse team of experts, with backgrounds spanning various industries and technologies.
- Develop essential skills with regard to cutting-edge regulatory frameworks.
- Understand the phases of development in a modern FinTech startup through firsthand experience and contribution.
- Interact and engage with financial laws across regions, including the United States, Europe and EU nations, Asia, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.
Compliance Projects:
- Risk Management: Assist with the development and implementation of legal compliance policies and risk management strategies, while ensuring adherence to local and international laws and regulations.
- International Regulations: Research both independently and with a team the intersections between US financial law, global financial law, and estate law around the world.
- Financial Compliance: Research and understand domestic and international securities laws, ranging from traditional financial institutions to cutting edge crypto regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct compliance research and analysis on various topics related to technology, intellectual property, and global regulations in the world of finance and crypto.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and advising on legal contracts and documents.
- Research and provide guidance on legal compliance in the areas of FinTech, blockchain, and digital assets.
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with regulatory developments in the industry.
- Collaborate with the team to identify legal risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Work actively with other interns and departments on current projects and the development of the company at large
- Contribute to the implementation of active compliance policies and best practices.
- Manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Ideal Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's, Master's, or JD degree in Law.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Some knowledge of international law and compliance.
- Passion for blockchain, crypto, NFTs, and the Metaverse.
- Individual drive to collaborate and excitement to contribute to company wide efforts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong foundation in law, with a focus on technology, intellectual property, and global regulations.
- Interest in the intersection of technology and law, particularly in finance, blockchain, and digital assets.
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
