Management Intern: Organization Effectiveness Strategic Support Services (SSS)
The City of San Diego’s Public Utilities Department is seeking one Management intern to provide support for assignments that are project-based and require teamwork and strong interpersonal skills with a diverse group of employees, including Department leaders, managers, field and office staff. This project focuses on building the Mentor Program for PUD.
Work may include but is not limited to:
- Research, planning, and implementation of the internship program.
- Assess and centralize best practices.
- Evaluate and analyze how to further expand internship opportunities.
- Set strategic goals for the program.
- Build awareness for the program.
- Meeting logistics, support, and planning.
- Contribute positively to a work environment and accept and give constructive feedback.
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
- Change management.
Length: One-year internship: 20 - 40 hours/week depending on university schedule
Qualifications:
- Must be a current graduate student enrolled in a MA, MS, MBA, or PhD Program.
- Curriculum focus must be in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Consulting Psychology, Leadership, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Survey/Quantitative Analysis, or Business Communications, or related field.
