Student Life Assistant
Job Description - Student Life Assistants are employees of the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash. Representing UC Blue Ash in this role will be considered a priority, but not above academics. Student Life Assistants are responsible for fostering a positive and welcoming environment at UC Blue Ash. As such, Assistants are expected to fulfill commitments as outlined below.
Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to students by communicating accurate information.
- Answer the Student Life phone, take messages, transfer calls to the appropriate Student Life/UC Blue Ash staff members.
- Greet and assist guests who come to the Student Life desk.
- Learn and refer students to relevant campus services and resources.
- Assist with New Student Orientation programming, Student Success initiatives, Student Life activities and Student Affairs projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, responsibility and effective communication skills.
- Display punctuality, professionalism, and approachablilty.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse populations.
- Represent UCBA, the office of Student Life and yourself in a positive light. This includes personal representation within social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
- Be enrolled for at least one semester at UC Blue Ash as a student.
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. First year students will need to earn a 2.5 GPA after their first semester.
