No optical experience is necessary. We’re happy to train the right person. Abigail David Optometry is seeking a part-time optometric assistant for our growing eyecare practice. Our practices are located within the Target stores in Greenwood and on Indy’s northside, in the popular Broad Ripple neighborhood.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients
- Performing optical pretesting for the doctor
- Answering phones and setting appointments
- Patient intake and electronic file creation
- Assisting the doctor and optical team as needed
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Must be able to work weekends
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
- A sunny disposition and great sense of humor!
