Information Technology (IT) Intern
THE ROLE:
The Information Technology (IT) Intern will support the Corporate DT Field Services team. This role will work side by side with IT professionals and participate in numerous projects and assigned tasks. The objective of this role will be to further your insight within the discipline and utilize your academic knowledge gained in school to help understand the professional business IT field. This is a year-round part-time internship based out of Oshkosh, WI.
YOUR IMPACT:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Provide day-to-day support to designated IT department.
- Learn how to identify, analyze, and apply information technology business practices to support strategic business process and plans.
- Participate as required to design, develop, test, and integrate technology.
- Participate in the implementation of information technology and business processes.
- Support, evaluate, and continuously improve information technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans.
- Perform activities accordingly to project plans and schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent working towards an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Information Security.
- Zero (0) to One (1) year of relevant experience.
- General understanding of information technology and concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service; verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload.
- Flexible and adaptable to work under deadlines and/or changing needs.
- Detailed oriented and quality focuses.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Experience with Windows XP, Linux and other relevant tools.
