How you’ll make an impact:
Support the Broadcast Operations Team consisting of the people, processes, and tools essential for the delivery of audio, metadata, data services and encrypted service authorizations over the SiriusXM satellite constellation. Contribute to the operational implementation, configuration control, monitoring and incident response of all content delivery and satellite uplink systems.
What you’ll do:
- With technical mentorship, participate in Acceptance Testing of new deployments of Conditional Access Encryption systems and Uplink Delivery systems.
- Learn and analyze operational processes, workflows, and user interfaces with goal of making recommendations for improvements
- Investigate and implement CENTOS/ tools that can automate operational workflows and reports
- Develop and execute a reorganization all monitoring radios in the Operations Center to include RF/Power distribution
- Administrative support to include learning and development activities and SiriusXM events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2025 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
- Majors in engineering and computer science preferred. (Examples: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software, Aerospace, or other relevant engineering degrees are desired.)
- Knowledge computer systems and data flows, including Unix/Linux operating systems
- Interest in RF transmission systems
- Technical interest and capacity to learn.
- Self-starter who enjoys complex problems and finding resolutions.
- Reliable contributor to the team who openly and readily communicates daily progress on tasks.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
- Ability to project professionalism virtually and in person.
- Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.

- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
