Intern, Power Electronics Design Engineering
Requirements:
- Currently working towards a MS or PHD in EE, or related field
- Interest in developing deep foundation in power electronics
- Must have experience/coursework in one or more of the following
- Analog Circuit Design (IC and/or System Level)
- Controls Theory
- AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion topologies
- LED drivers and applications
- Motor drivers and applications
- Battery Charging/PMIC operation and applications
- FPGA coding (verilog), emulation, and evaluation on board
- Modelling power systems with SIMPLIS, PLECS, and/or MATLAB
- Lab Skills – Candidate should have experience with or strong interest to learn
- Circuit design/debug
- PCB design/layout
- Soldering and PCB rework
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Word
- Operation of oscilloscopes, power meters, electronic loads, and AC and DC power supplies
Description:
- Paid position
- Assist engineering team in IC definition
- Assist engineering team in IC evaluation
- Assist engineering team in PCB design, assembly, and verification
- Assist engineering team in applications testing and evaluation
Generate well documented reports
Pay: up to $33/hour commensurate with experience.
