About the Role
As a member of our summer internship program, you will work closely with an exceptional team of professionals who are passionate about revolutionizing the mental health space, get the opportunity to have a direct impact on the development of a fast-growing company, and get hands-on experience working in an early stage start-up.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to create visual elements for various projects
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for design projects
- Assist in the creation of design assets for social media, email campaigns, and print materials
- Conduct research and analysis to inform design decisions
- Must utilize design software, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and Sketch
- Help with general creative and design tasks as needed
Internship Dates: The 2023 Summer Internship runs from May 22nd to August 11th 2023 with flexible start and end dates. The program is expected to last 12-16 weeks with the opportunity for an extended offer upon completion.
Expected Work Hours: This is a full-time internship, with a time commitment of 30-40 hours per week. Interns must be available during regular work hours of M-F 9am-5pm.
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-person. Must be available to work in-person as needed at our office located in Venice, CA.
Compensation: $20-$25 per hour
What we're looking for
- Rising junior/senior, current graduate student, or recent graduate from an accredited university
- Majoring in the UX/UI, Creative Design (ex: Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Illustration, Product Design, Social Experience Design, digital arts, or related field)
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity
- Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of product design UI/UX and graphic design principles
- Familiarity with branding design, social media design, email design, and print design
- Currently enrolled in a design-related program or recent graduate
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eager to share the passion for psychedelic medicine
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and produce creative solutions
- Hardworking, go-getter attitude
- A fast learner who is excited to work in a start-up environment
