ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELOR - HARWOOD & EASTWOOD ELEMENTARY (SPLIT POSITION)
West Fargo Public Schools is looking for an elementary school counselor to join our team! We are looking for a dynamic counselor to support Eastwood and Harwood Elementary schools!  
POSITION: Elementary School Counselors – West Fargo Public Schools
Eastwood .6FTE, Harwood .4FTE = 1.0FTE
TERM: 188-day contract beginning at the start of the 2023-2024 School Year
SUMMARY:  The school counselor will be responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program that focuses on learner outcomes, teaching learner competencies, and providing services to learners, parents, educators, and the community. This will include bi-weekly classroom lessons, individual and small group social skill lessons, providing classroom educator support, and supporting the MTSS team to meet learners' social and emotional needs. The school counselor will be responsible for learners in grades K-5 and work collaboratively with administration.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • ND Teaching License with School Counselor Credential K-12 
  • Master's Degree in School Counseling
  • Ability to develop positive and meaningful relationships with learners and families
  • Experience working with complex learner behaviors preferred
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
  • Prior counseling experience preferred
 
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education level, the position will follow the 2023-2024 Teachers' Salary Schedule, once released. In the interim, refer to the 2022-2023 Teachers' Salary ScheduleIn addition, the WFPS District funds the entire 11.75% employee contribution to TFFR, as well as the 12.75% employer contribution.
