This position's primary focus will be on conducting, managing, and evaluating an experiential education program to improve the lives of youth ages 5-19. Incumbent will be responsible for the coordination, management, and delivery of the program through a combination of direct education and volunteer management. This includes training, guiding, and supporting volunteers with education, information and resources. Evaluating program implementation; collecting and compiling enrollment documentation, and writing reports in compliance with funding requirements are essential duties.

The 4-H Program Coordinator helps to coordinate and monitor fiscal oversight and compliance of statewide program units (4-H), ensures compliance with statewide program policies and procedures, and effectively resolves conflicts and complaints. Incumbent will build and maintain an informal network of partners, align education projects with curricula and educational materials, develop news releases and news articles, and maintain subject matter competence. Meeting facilitation, volunteer board leadership and event planning are required roles. Inspiration and willingness to outreach to new communities, develop new strategies for youth engagement, test educational materials, and find innovative techniques for youth engagement are necessary.

The 4-H Program Coordinator will perform the full range of program implementation duties under the supervision of the Regional Program Supervisor, Advisor, and County Director.

The ideal candidate is organized and proficient in computer technologies. Strong public speaking and written communication skills, experience working with youth and/or volunteers, and knowledge of youth development/education/ community development topics required.

This position is a career appointment that is 50% variable.

Pay Scale: $19.20/hour to $25.53/hour

This position will promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.
