Job Description:
- Serves as Senior Project Manager and Senior Action Officer for DLA Information Operations, in direct support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) mission.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing enterprise-wide, multi-disciplined projects, initiatives and operations throughout the Agency.
- Studies, develops, reviews and gains approval for detailed and confidential personnel staffing plans, labor relations proposals, VERA/VSIP offerings and retirement strategy recommendations, project plans, milestones, detailed financial analysis and required resources.
- Maintains communications and situational awareness of project scope, schedules, resource requirements, and status with all stakeholders to include: project team members, team member supervisors, senior management (GS15/SES/GO), and a wide array of DLA customers and senior level executives.
- Formulates and effectuates management policies in the field of labor-management and relations.
- Presents project kick-off meetings with senior leaders to legitimize and advertise project requirements.
- Negotiates with senior leaders and supervisors to obtain the minimum required resources to accomplish assigned projects to include: labor hours for identified project team members, hardware (network, wireless, server, data storage, printer, computer workstations, etc.), software applications, associated warranties and licensing, Enterprise Telecommunications Network set-up, Information Assurance (IA) activities, travel costs, etc.
- Leads and manages the development and execution of focused Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for each project.
- Develops and establishes short, mid and long-range planning objectives and priorities as coordinated within the Customer Service and Readiness Directorate.
