Research Lab Manager Shuji Ogino Lab

Working very independently, the Research Lab Manager is responsible for the technical supervision of personnel and operations of the Ogino Laboratory in the Department of Pathology. Performs non-routine, highly specialized experimental procedures. Participates in the design and modification of research protocols and grant proposals. Composes and may present sections of research reports and manuscripts. Performs advanced data analysis using advanced statistical techniques. Performs sophisticated experiments related to cell biology, immunology, microbiology, and molecular pathology. Participates with the principal investigator in the design of experimental protocols. Interprets experimental results in conference with other researchers. Orders and manages lab supplies. Manages laboratory specimens. Coordinates lab activities and undertakes quality assurance and safety programs. Helps and manages onboarding of incoming lab staff. Supervises lab staff.  Assists Dr. Ogino when needed.
