JOB SUMMARY
The HR Recruiter Intern will be responsible for supporting the recruitment efforts of VECRA, Inc. This internship will provide exposure to the full life cycle of recruiting. It will allow the intern to gain hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, including posting job advertisements, doing initial screenings, and scheduling interviews. The incumbent will support the full talent acquisition lifecycle. Duties will include Recruiting, working with hiring managers, and candidate to ensure the hiring process runs smoothly. Ultimately, you will help VECRA find and hire the most qualified people for our open roles.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Assist with sourcing candidates for various positions using various sourcing tools, including Indeed, LinkedIn, and other job boards
§ Screen resumes and conduct initial phone screens with candidates to assess their qualifications and interest in the role
§ Schedule calls and interviews
§ Manage calendars for all hiring teams and candidates
§ Send out bulk emails (e.g. confirming receipt of applications, rejection emails)
§ Conduct reference checks
§ Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant database
§ Assist with various projects and initiatives as needed
§ Promote positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRED SKILLS:
§ Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
§ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
§ Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
§ Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
§ Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
§ Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
§ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity
§ Ability to juggle multiple calendars
§ Problem-solving aptitude
§ Critical thinking skills

§ Anticipated internship timeline: June 5 – September 1, 2023
§ Work Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm
§ Schedule: Monday – Friday
§ Stipend:$15.00/hour
§ Telework or Virtual: Hybrid
§ Onsite Location: USA\Lanham, MD or Kilmarnock, VA or Sarasota, FL
§ Req Type: Full-Time
§ Must be able to work a 40-hour work week
§ Must be able to work at least two days a week at an onsite location
