Metrology Intern - FCX/PCI - Raleigh, NC

PCI is looking to train an Intern in Metrology to calibrate temperature, pressure, dimensional, electronics & torque in a ISO17025 accredated lab. 
 
The Intern reports directly to the Team Leader/Manager. This position is temporary, without benefits, and may be full or part time depending on business need. This position is non-exempt.
 
Expectations:
 
The PCI Intern will support general team operations by being helpful, professional, cordial, and supportive while performing various duties. Interns support PCI’s Values by demonstrating Honesty, Integrity, Pride, Accountability, Teamwork, and Commitment.
 
Responsibilities & Assignments:
 
  • Provide assistance with routine lab, office or field support tasks.
  • Perform basic office functions such as: Filing, mail sorting, scanning, copying, and organizing.
  • Update/interpret policies and other technical documentation.
  • Data entry; compile, sort, and present data.
  • Assist with putting together presentations and other documents; gather content, format, etc.
  • Participate in respective team meetings.
  • Gain exposure to FDA Regulations, cGMP processes, and other instrumentation practices through field experience, trainings, and other related events.
 
Skills Required:
 
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Willingness to learn and support various organizational departments and objectives.
  • Adaptable and able to change easily from one task/project to another.
  • Responsive and meets deadlines within designated timeframe.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
 
Experience & Education Required:
Currently enrolled in a two or four year degree program with a focus on technical fields, Life Sciences, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior professional work experience is helpful
