Velocity Specialist

Summary:
This Velocity Specialist position is a New Graduate Program, focused on training candidates who are early in their corporate careers or recent College Graduates. NextGen Healthcare is a growing organization and through this program, career paths are endless. Job Responsibilities:
In this position, you are responsible for assisting clients in meeting their organizational goals and objectives as well as communicating with Internal and External stakeholders. You will manage to overall scope, timeline, deliverables and status. This work will take place independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. As a solution expert on our software and workflows, you will help our clients configure and implement their NextGen products, upgrade to the latest release of our software, build and conduct testing plans, and troubleshoot issues to ensure we deliver an exceptional client experience.
 
Daily Tasks:
  • Provide consultative advice, recommendations, and solutions to clients which includes our best practice workflows and processes
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to document identified gaps in product functionality as well as client interactions
  • Support our clients onsite as they go-live with new products, new versions, or new workflows
  • Own all client issues to completion, working with other internal experts to find resolution
  • Communicate and present project status, risks, and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Review client-facing documentation to ensure accuracy and user-friendliness
  • Build and improve internal documentation to share knowledge with teammates and colleagues
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the client organization including C-suite, management, clinical staff, physician/provider staff, and information technology resources
  • Continuously learn about new features, products, and industry news to become and remain an expert
  • Work towards and become NCP Certified in EHR and/or Practice Management
  • Book travel and submit expense reports in accordance with company policy
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) with intermediate to advanced skill level
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities, multiple demands, and ambiguity
  • Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences with ability to actively listen to others and adjust to fit the audience and the message
  • Ability to find a solution for, or to deal proactively with work-related problems
  • Ability to maintain composure when exposed to work priorities and stress in workplace situations
  • Ability to take care of internal and external customers' needs while following company procedures and best practices, understanding their concerns, seeking to build trust and build/maintain long-term relationships with the customer to become their trusted advisor
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment as well as in a team environment to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
  • Lean into challenges and feel motivated by the highly energetic environment that comes with the healthcare business
 
Requirements:
  • You are able to work a flexible schedule and the hours necessary, including some night and weekend hours, based on client need to accomplish job responsibilities and deliverables.
  • You are able to travel up to 50%-70% for essential business needs only in accordance to public health, client, potential client, and NextGen Healthcare safety protocols and requirements where applicable to reduce risks during and after travel which may include vaccinations, masks, social distancing, quarantines, and any Client Site/Facility requirements regardless of personal preference (some clients may require an employee to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination before being allowed on site).
 
Bonus:
  • You previously worked in implementation roles.
  • You have project management experience.
  • You have prior experience with NextGen products or solutions.
  • You have experience working in customer service.
  • You also have some knowledge in C# or SQL.
 
Education:
Required:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Data Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or related discipline.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.; or commensurate business experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting.
