Civil Engineer
MGE Engineering, Inc. is seeking to hire a candidate ranging from entry-level to experienced as a Civil Engineer to support its Austin, TX office. Work includes analysis and development of designs with a goal of completion of construction documents including plans, specifications, and estimates. A wide range of software is used in the position with a heavy reliance on Autodesk Civil 3D. Projects are for a wide range of municipalities and agencies providing engineering services for heavy civil works such as roads, bridges, levees, etc.
MGE is a small business employing less than 50 engineers, construction management, and support staff. The firm is progressive and maintains a working environment where engineers are encouraged to take initiative and are given room to grow without limits. Most employees have been with the firm for over 10 years.
Qualified applicants should have completed or be very close to obtaining a BS in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field. Certification as an engineer-in-training highly preferred. Licensure as a registered engineer is desirable. Work may be a combination of in office and remote with some travel to project sites in and out of state as necessary.
