Entry Level Software Engineer
SkillStorm is actively seeking Full-time Software Engineers in Aberdeen, MD or San Antonio, TX for one of our Fortune 500 clients. This position requires no previous experience and will receive to 16 weeks of training to ensure they are ready to hit the ground running day one on the job!
The ideal candidate is a team player that understands the requirements for working on both small and large teams, a continuous self-learner that stays up to date with technology trends, and an efficient communicator. This role requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Entry Level Software Engineer requirements are:
- BS/BA degree required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance required.
- Experience with software development using a modern OOP language (Java, C#, or similar) with a strong understanding in programming, data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL
- Must be willing to relocate
- Strong technical mind-set, including problem solving, troubleshooting, logical reasoning
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. under SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Entry Level Software Engineer responsibilities are:
- Analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications for Accenture or our clients.
- Design and code applications to functional and technical programming standards using SAP and ABAP programming.
- Develop system specifications and interfaces for complex components.
- Create operational documentation for the application..
- Maintain applications according to SLAs, monitor, tune, and maintain active SAP instances and related computing infrastructure.
- Develop and implement testing plans.
- Work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering solutions for new system roll outs, major/minor enhancements, and/or ongoing maintenance of existing applications.
- Analyze, design, build, and/or test new components or enhancements to existing modules.
- Identify and assess complex problems and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management.
- Interact with client or internal senior management.
