Grant Writing & Research Intern

General Information 

Greenlink is currently seeking summer interns who are eager to contribute to a growing organization and develop a range of skills. Greenlink Education is a new start up, which means Interns have an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to projects in which they are involved and gain insight into the  day-to-day of a growing small business. 

Greenlink is looking for a Grant Writing and Research Intern to collaborate on grant writing and research projects related to environmental sustainability solutions in the K-12 educational sector.  
The intern will conduct research, assist with grant writing and support Greenlink leadership in conference applications and registrations.

Intern responsibilities will include: 

  • Identification of funding opportunities for Greenlink including  Request For Proposals (RFPs), governmental funding, and other funding possibilities
  • Application and writing of grant proposals
  • Summary of relevant research to inform the grant application process
  • Policy research to inform ongoing Greenlink work with a focus on:
  • Environmental justice
  • Student advocacy
  • Governmental legislation  
  • Conference participation and presentation research, applications, content creation, and support 
  • Virtually attend events and relay information to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide support for operational and business development-related tasks at request of company leadership
  • Attend regular meetings with company leadership to discuss research and project status


Qualifications:

  • Recently or currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
  • Excellent research and writing skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organization and time management abilities
  • Precision, attention to detail
  • Ability to understand complex instructions 
  • Motivated to take on new initiatives
  • Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Details about Dates, Pay and Location

Dates of Position: June-August 2023
Hours: Minimum 120 hours, Flexible schedule 
Compensation: Unpaid 
Location: Remote
