JMG Specialist - Portland Arts and Technology High School

If you answered yes to these questions, you could be the candidate we are looking for to fill our opening at Portland Arts and Technology High School, Portland, ME (Cumberland County) for our next JMG CTE Specialist. 

The CTE Specialist will teach employability skills to students, and create and deliver an innovative, rigorous, student-centered program that draws on the resources of the larger Portland community.  The Specialist will provide new learning opportunities for students and offer support and guidance as they gain the skills and motivation needed to participate in community and workplace activities, graduate from high school, and pursue continued education. 

Specific Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required. A strong candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, creativity, high functioning team player, willingness to advocate for youth, and confidence with relationship building with local business leaders in the Farmington community. Maine CHRC approval or ability to attain Maine CHRC approval is required. 

The start date for this position is ASAP

Compensation for this position is $43,000 plus additional bonuses. Paid time off includes school vacation weeks in December, February, and April, plus 15 additional vacation days. Staff also have 3 weeks of sick time, and 1 week of Covid time if needed. JMG offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and more.
