General Statement Of Duties: The Administrative Aide assists the Administrative Services Department in various research and analysis projects and tasks. Performs additional job-related duties as required. Distinguishing Features Of The Class: An employee in this classification provides research and writing in the primary area of Risk Management. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Administrative Services Director. |

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: |
Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of principles and practices in the administration of risk management and programs; report writing; general office practices and procedures. Skills: Good writing skills; effective and positive interpersonal communications; strong computer skills, including word processing, and spreadsheet software. Abilities: Prepare clear and concise reports; research and compile data; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; prepare drawings, charts, and spreadsheets if needed; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other District staff.. Physical Demands Of Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including the ability to move materials weighing up to 15 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, and office equipment. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, keyboards, telephones, calculators, and standard office equipment.
