Education Institute Outcomes Intern

The internship is designed to give the student an opportunity to learn about the assessing the impact of public health programs. The intern will report to the Manager, Outcomes & Data Analytics and work closely with other department staff. This internship will give students the opportunity to develop skills in data management and program evaluation. As a result of this internship, the student will:
  • Support evaluation of Community Education & Outreach programs, including survey data entry and literature reviews
  • Conduct qualitative data collection activities, including phone interviews and focus groups
  • Support outcomes and data analytics initiatives with the Education Institute
  • Support ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Adhere to Hospital standards and procedures, such as dress code and patient confidentiality & privacy

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate student interested in public health or social sciences
  • Experience with MS Excel is required
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, STATA) is preferred
  • Access to a working computer, internet, and phone required
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment

Small stipend is available for internships.
