Z News Print Journalist/Reporter Intern (Summer/Fall Unpaid Internship)

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and passionate Print Journalist intern to join our team. As a Print Journalist intern, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing news articles that are relevant to Generation Z. Your work will be featured on our print publication, as well as online, and will inform and engage our audience on a range of topics including current events, social issues, technology, entertainment, and lifestyle.
Responsibilities:
  • Research, report, write, and edit news stories for publication in our print and online platforms.
  • Conduct interviews with sources to gather information and insights for your stories.
  • Use social media and other online tools to stay up-to-date on trends and topics relevant to our audience.
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and other members of the Z News team to ensure high-quality content that meets our standards.
  • Attend events, press conferences, and other relevant gatherings to gather information and report on news.
  • Fact-check information and sources to ensure accuracy and credibility.
  • Meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in a relevant field such as journalism, broadcast, or communications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Experience conducting interviews and reporting on news events.
  • Familiarity with social media and online tools for news gathering and distribution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the issues and concerns of Generation Z.
