Mental Health Therapeutic Program Worker - $SIGN ON BONUS OFFERED$

The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
**Work Hours: 2nd Shift 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. | 3rd Shift 10:45 p.m. - 6:45 a.m.
**Summit Behavioral Healthcare (SBH) offers Therapeutic Program Workers (TPW) a $0.60 shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shift full time, permanent employees.
**Per the AFSME/OCSEA bargaining unit contract, effective the pay period that includes July 1, 2023, the pay schedule shall increase by 3%
Under general supervision, a Therapeutic Program Worker (TPW) provides direct care services and assists patients to function independently in self-help and daily living skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coaches patients to function independently in self-help & daily living skills (e.g., personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, etiquette, social skills)
- Institutes appropriate crisis intervention
- Completes charting, documentation, records & reports
- Performs variety of miscellaneous duties (e.g., light housekeeping in patient areas & living quarters; identifies & reports safety concerns; attends & completes required trainings & educational programs; shops for/with patients for clothing &/or personal belongings; provides clerical support).
