Accountant
Job Summary:
The Accounting Analyst will support the Controller through development of financial documentation for the organizational decision-makers and interpret accounting reports for future financial decisions. Additional responsibilities may include evaluating financial and controls processes.
Essential Functions:
The Accounting Analyst will have several key responsibilities in the fulfillment of their duties including:
Overall support and assisting the Controller with:
- Research financial performance issues and create comparatives for overall trend analysis.
- Produce and disseminate daily profit reports to cross-functional groups.
- Develop strong understanding of business processes and gather key finance and performance metrics from cross-functional units.
- Perform detailed variance and profitability analysis on multiple business verticals.
- Assist the Controller in the development of long-range financial forecasts and related budgets.
- Prepare monthly consolidation of balance sheets, cash flow, and income statements.
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Contribute ideas and innovations to improve upon existing systems, work processes and procedures affecting month-end financial close, account analysis preparation, quarterly financial forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Participate in and present in routine and ad hoc meetings when required.
- Gather necessary account information and documents to perform internal audit.
- Additional ad hoc analysis projects as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:
The successful Accounting Analyst must have knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Expert with Microsoft Excel including Statistical and Predictive Modeling, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, VBS and Macros
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online Advanced or other ERP systems.
- High level of confidentiality and demonstrate integrity
- Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet pressing deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill sets.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with emphasis on the ability to communicate with senior level management.
- Desire and ability to learn quickly and be proactive.
