LTOCE: Comptroller Student Office Assistant

LTOCE: Student Office Assistant is to assist the VP of Finance, Comptroller, and other staff in the Office of Finance and Comptrollers by performing tasks that support the smooth operation of routine duties.


DUTIES: Answer phone calls, transfer calls, take messages, and answer any questions applicable to student functions in Moodle, BOSS or regarding purge, tax forms, etc. Greet visitors and assist them as needed. Run campus errands such as campus mail pickup and distribution in campus boxes. Sort office mail and distribute to staff. Prepare large mailouts.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Maintain confidentiality. Possess strong verbal communication skills. Must be dependable, punctual, courteous, have a desire to be helpful to visitors and staff.


REQUIREMENTS: MUST WORK QUARTER BREAKS AND SUMMER.


Students must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for student employment. Half time enrollment is defined as 4 hours for undergraduates or 3 hours for graduates. Students who drop below half-time will no longer be eligible for student employment and must cease working.


Students must have an overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates and a 3.0 for graduates during their employment. First time freshmen must have an ACT Composite score of 20 or higher at time of employment.


Students may work a maximum of 20 hours a work week, and are not allowed to work during scheduled class times.


Student workers will be allowed to hold only one job at a time during an academic year (ex: FWS, Graduate Assistantship, Regular Funds)


New student workers must have valid identification documents (non-expired passport or driver’s license and social security card)


International students must have a current passport, I-94, and social security card
