LTOCE Office Financial Aid - Student Assistant

Job Title:
Student Office Assistant
Purpose of the Position:
Assist the department chair, administrative assistant, and faculty with routine office duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer telephone calls, transfer calls, and take messages. Greet visitors and assist them as needed. Run campus errands. Assist with office support tasks like making copies, filing, etc. Assist students in departmental workroom and library. Assist with maintaining office inventory. Complete other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Possess strong personal and communication skills. Be dependable, responsible, neat, punctual, and pleasant. Take initiative to complete tasks. Be team-oriented. Maintain confidentiality.
Terms of Employment:
The applicant must qualify for Federal Work Study and be enrolled at least half-time for the Summer 2023 quarter.
Morning and/afternoon, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Quarters, 20 hours per week.
Students must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for student employment. Half time enrollment is defined as 4 hours for undergraduates or 3 hours for graduates. Students who drop below half-time will no longer be eligible for student employment and must cease working.
Students must have an overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduates and a 3.0 for graduates during their employment. First time freshmen must have an ACT Composite score of 20 or higher at time of employment.
Students may work a maximum of 20 hours a work week, and are not allowed to work during scheduled class times.
Student workers will be allowed to hold only one job at a time during an academic year (ex: FWS, Graduate Assistantship, Regular Funds)
New student workers must have valid identification documents (non-expired passport or driver’s license and social security card)
International students must have a current passport, I-94, and social security card
