Aeronautical Analysts analyze and exploit worldwide aeronautical source and imagery in support of safety of navigation and national intelligence goals and requirements. They collaborate with partners and co-producers to ensure that databases and products contain current navigation and intelligence information. These analysts apply international certification standards to ensure the quality, accuracy, and currency of data and products.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online applications must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement:
1. Knowledge of operational aeronautical navigation principles and procedures; and/or airfield & airspace components and structure, and/or aeronautical terminology, data, products, and services.
2. Demonstrated experience organizing and utilizing time and resources efficiently and effectively, to achieve desired results, consistent with the organization's goals and objectives.
3. Demonstrated ability making sound decisions even when data is limited or the consequences are uncertain.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:
1. Demonstrated utilization of Department of Defense (DoD) suite of aeronautical navigational products and data.
2. Demonstrated experience analyzing and resolving complex problems within the field of aviation.
3. Knowledge or experience using analytical methodologies and/or techniques relating to aeronautical sources, data or imagery.
4. Ability to communicate ongoing work to peers and leadership through written, visual, spoken reports and briefings.
