SUMMARY
IHP Capital Partners is one of the nation’s largest investment firms dedicated to providing equity financing for residential development. The firm invests institutional equity capital in residential real estate development projects throughout the western United States. IHP professionals are experienced, creative, and knowledgeable specialists with the proven ability to handle a variety of real estate marketing, development, and investment services.
This full-time, in-office Summer Intern position is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the acquisitions, asset management, and investor reporting teams and to interact with senior management. Primary responsibilities include market analysis and due diligence on new investments and ongoing project asset management. This position is based in Newport Beach, California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Due diligence for new investment opportunities and ongoing project asset management, focused in Southern California and possibly other western U.S. markets
- Market research specific to a subject property’s submarket and investment type
- Preparation and presentation of internal and investor-driven quarterly reports
JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of fundamental real estate economics and the housing industry
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills – written, oral and interpersonal
- Motivated self-starter, with high energy and a positive demeanor
- Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical standards
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Currently attending university (rising Junior or Senior), majoring in finance, real estate, economics, or business.
