Associate Accounts Examiner

Your role as an Associate Accounts Examiner
We are looking for multiple qualified candidates who would join our team in the Office of Quality Assurance’s Audit Unit and Special Investigations Unit. The Audit unit ensures compliance, efficiency, and accountability within federal and state programs administered by the Department by detecting and preventing mismanagement, waste and program abuse and ensuring that state and federal dollars are spent appropriately, responsibly, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The Special Investigations Provider Enrollment Unit is responsible for the reviewing and approving all Connecticut Medical Assistance Program (CMAP) Provider enrollment and re-enrollment applications on an on-going basis. This Unit also shares responsibility for ensuring federal and ACA requirements for provider enrollment are instituted and adhered to. Coordination of efforts between the Provider Investigations Unit and Provider Enrollment Unit strengthens Connecticut’s program integrity efforts. You will also be tasked with ensuring that Providers applying and re-enrolling in the Connecticut Medical Assistance Program meet all necessary qualifications. 
The Provider Enrollment Unit, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Provider Investigations Unit, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Office of the Attorney General, The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Investigations, and other entities.

Schedule
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Hybrid Role
