Unified Communications Operator I

Title: Unified Communications Operator I
Location: San Diego, CA
Reporting: 100% onsite
Clearance: Willing to sponsor a government clearance
Duration: 7+ years

Our client is seeking a Unified Communications Operations Engineer to support UC Implementation and Operational support the customer's UC Infrastructure. This position will provide on the job training to handle complex customer issues with regards to Unified Communications and associated technologies. The candidate shall perform a variety of service support functions, to include new deployment installations, device refresh installations, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video Teleconferencing Communication (VTC) endpoints. The candidate will administer and support Cisco Unified Communications Infrastructure (CUCM). 

Responsibilities:
·      Work as part of UC Team to maintain enterprise Cisco voice, video, presence systems
·      Understand the codecs, protocols of Cisco technologies and implement gateways
·      Host and administrate active video conference bridges
·      Provision VoIP and VTC endpoints
·      Interface with customers for bridge scheduling and tier II support
·      Support IP communication networks in operations

Qualifications and Requirements:
·      Willing to sponsor government clearance and provide on the job training
·      DOD 8570 Compliant Security+
·      1-3 years’ of educational or hands on experience supporting Cisco Route and Switch, UC or other Collaboration Product Suite
·      Experience in Voice and Video including: Customer Support, Maintenance, Deployment, troubleshooting.
·      Experience with Direct end-user support
·      Ability to prioritize
·      Experience with any of the following: Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection Server, Cisco Video Communication Server (VCS), Cisco Telepresence MCU Chassis, Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) CUCM IM and Presence Services, Cisco Unified Attendant, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Prime, Cisco Telepresence Management (TMS)
·      Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills
·      Working knowledge of Enterprise networking principles (TCP/IP and OSI Models)
·      Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication
·      Participates in special projects as required
