Reports to: Manager of Compost Stewardship & Advocacy

Role overview: We are seeking a resourceful, proactive intern with outstanding communication skills and potential for creation of PR and marketing materials to support Elevate’s used-packaging take-back and compost program. The intern will be primarily responsible for creating content that illustrates Elevate’s sustainability mission and communicates the take-back program to various constituents under mentorship from the compost stewardship & advocacy and marketing teams.
This content will be of high value in promoting a circular solution that fosters a sustainable future; when compostable packaging is diverted from landfills to compost sites, it can be a valuable feedstock used to create compost that re-enriches and rebuilds the Earth’s soil.

- Experienced with Google Docs & Microsoft Office

Intern responsibilities
- Write white papers describing the challenges customers and consumers face with delivering used compostable pouches to composters and how Elevate’s program addresses those challenges
- Write white papers detailing the challenges compostable packaging poses for composters and how Elevate’s program addresses those challenges
- Develop case studies illuminating customers who are successfully participating in the program
- Develop case studies showcasing composters who are successfully participating in the program
- Synthesize complex information into valuable promotional materials
- Collaborate with the Elevate team to create content that promotes the value of the program to customers and to composters
- Research and build a list of publishers, editors, and media outlets that communicate with Elevate’s target audiences
- Write press releases and articles about the program for publication
- Deliver approved content for publication and distribution
