Summer 2023 Co-op - LAB Solutions Control (Industrial)

Established in 1918, we have over 100 years of experience as a one-stop shop for over 50 processes & services. We specialize in the Application of Electroplating, Electroless Plating, Anodizing, Chemical Conversion Coatings, Spray Coatings, Vacuum Coatings, and Combination Coatings and the Formulation & Manufacturing of Surf-Kote® line of Dry Film Lubricants

SUMMARY OF JOB
Work under the direction of the LAB Manager, to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the lab, supporting plated surface coatings, while learning to support chemical, electroplating techniques and processes.  We serve diverse industries including aerospace, heavy equipment, medical, automotive and more.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Areas you will gain experience.
 
  • Testing plating processes with panels
  • Testing tank samples in the lab
  • Tank readings
  • Collect data/interpretation of some results
  • Support Lab Manager as needed
  • Autonomous projects
 
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 
 
Degrees being pursued in Industrial or Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to dangerous chemicals, including exposure to fumes or airborne particles below OSHA permissible limits. Frequently exposed to high heat and humid conditions.  Employee will be frequently exposed to loud sounds, below the OSHA permissible limits.
