About the Location
Hybrid Position:
This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a workspace at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.
About the Job
How this role will make an impact:
As an Associate IT Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for collaborating with the various PetSmart business areas to design and build sustainable solutions to meet business needs and add significant business value. The individual will execute the detailed design, build, test and deployment of the solution to ensure it meets specifications and ultimately the business requirements. This is an exciting time to join PetSmart and work with all the latest and great technologies!
Your goals and responsibilities will include:
- Work with internal IT teams and external partners (product, UX/UI) teams to support building of technical design and specification documents and review designs & concepts
- Support execution of technical enhancements for better performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Works with cross-functional IT and business teams to design and develop solutions based on business requirements
- Understanding the agile methodology and able to work in a product team wearing multiple hats as the product/project demands
- Identify areas of improvement in design, implementation, process, tooling, automated testing, quality assurance
- Supports the build, test and deployment of full lifecycle solutions
- Assists with building implementation plan and coordinates deployment with platform teams
- Work on two projects (individual and group) meet business expectations, influence outcomes and maintain stated timelines
