Are you trying to begin a career in policy, communications, fundraising, or law? Do you want a rich education in contemporary policy issues—and the philosophical, historic, and economic underpinnings of those issues? A Cato internship might be right for you.
Cato’s prestigious internship program offers interns the opportunity to develop hands‐on research experience while learning professional skills and building their professional network.
All Cato interns earn $17 per hour. Program participants also may complete their Cato internship for course credit.

You can schedule a 1 -on-1 in-person informational conversation to learn more about the opportunities with Cato Institute and learn more about their opportunities and timeline.
While it is not a formal recruiting program, it does provide a chance to explore career options and start to develop a network.
1.To schedule a coffee chat session, you must first apply to the “Coffee chat” posting.
2.Click on your picture profile on the right.
3.Click the drop-down arrow and open “my job” link and look for Cato Institute
4.Open that link and it will bring you to the schedule where you will be able to select a time slot.
Time slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
