Maintenance Technician 2 (Industrial Electrical Responsibilities)
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 with industrial electrical experience for our Production Site in Raleigh, NC.
This positions offers a Sign On Bonus up to $3,000! (Current CRL employees not eligible)
The Maintenance Technician 2 will perform routine daily and preventative maintenance and assist in construction and refurbishment of physical plant, specializing in industrial electrical responsibilities.
- Install and repair electrical materials, equipment, and machinery working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications.
- Inspect, isolate problems, and repair defects in lighting, electrical wiring, and equipment using motorized machinery, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment. May require calculation of electrical loads and feeds.
- Inspect complete electrical work for quality, safety, and proper operation.
- Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to assist in the daily repair, preventative maintenance and construction of machinery and physical plant and expansion projects, including routine carpentry, masonry, electrical, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, painting, mechanical and floor/wall coating installation.
- Operate construction and maintenance equipment and power tools; maintain hand tools and assigned equipment; perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Perform scheduled inspections/repairs on all facilities systems.
- Examine machinery and equipment to diagnose trouble using basic mechanical tools and equipment. Disassemble machines and equipment and adjust, replace or repair broken or defective parts and pieces.
- Inspect completed mechanical repairs for quality, safety, and proper operation.
- Perform equipment calibration and preventative maintenance procedures as directed.
- Perform supply, delivery, distribution, and acquisition tasks as directed.
- May perform waste vacuum maintenance.
- Participate in snow removal and ice remediation activities such as shoveling and spreading de- icing agents on walkways and parking lots, where site weather conditions necessitate.
- Assist in moving office contents within site, including furniture, files, etc. as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and services.
- Respond to emergencies as needed. Provide 24-hour on-call maintenance coverage, as scheduled in rotation.
- May provide guidance to less experienced/skilled utility workers.
- May operate yard equipment such as forklift and pickup truck including attaching and removing equipment such as snowplow blade.
- Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
- One to three years experience in general building maintenance with mechanical and construction background.
- One to three years experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical work
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid NC Electrical License
